What's New

Functional Aprons that Fit and Flatter

In honor of all the hard working women out there--flattering farm girl aprons with lots of retro style. Not boxy like other full aprons tend to be, these color-blocked, cotton covers ups are shaped by bodice darts, an adjustable neck strap, and well placed ties. They curve in all the right places.

Large appliquéd canvas pockets make them extra special--adding one of kind touches from antique flour sack details to a funky chicken. See all the new apron designs plus more of my popular garden tool aprons in my Etsy shop now.

Teaching Two Classes this Spring

I'm so excited! I love turning fabric scraps into little works of art like this pillow. And coming in May I'll be teaching others how to design and stitch their own throw pillows at my favorite place to shop for fabric, the Scrap Exchange in Durham, NC. Then in June, I'm making fabric collage-covered notebooks.

Check the dates May 17th and June 2 on the Scrap's Eventbrite page and sign up.

What's the difference between recycling and upcycling? Find out in this post on my blog, Save that Fabric!

A life-long seamstress, I create each design with thrift, skill, care, and a sense of history that would make my sewing southern grandmothers proud.
